Industry Specialists

Years of experience

We designed and built this company in 2008, based on what we had learned from years of experience in this industry.  We’ve been at this a long time, working at outsource providers and ESL schools in Vancouver and Toronto.
Over those years, we’ve placed more than a thousand interns in every position from Cowboy to Industrial Designer.  We’ve met with the world’s industry leaders, agents, and schools, and between speaking with them about their needs – and thousands of hours of hands on experience – we have put together internship and work experience programs that set a new standard for quality.

Hundreds of host companies

When it comes to finding your students a good internship, nothing matters more than your network.  Our network includes more than 400 internship and casual work host companies.  These are companies we have been with working for years.  We have taught these hosts what we need in an internship or work placement, what students need in terms of supervision, fulfilling job duties, and patience, and we’ve already gone through all the hard work in teaching them about visas, work permits, and job offer letters.  Because of this training, we are able to do internship and work placements quickly and efficiently.

We add new host companies all the time – though the vast majority of those companies are referrals from our own business network.    Before placing an intern at a new host company, we take the time to visit each company and assess the work environment, and support available.  During each internship we visit your student at their host company to do a second quality control assessment.

Paid internships

This isn't our only program - we also offer Casual Work Experience placements, and Unpaid Internships - but this is our most 'in demand' program. This is one of the most challenging things for schools to offer. It's certainly an easy sell to overseas agents, but the amount of work required to place a paid internship student puts these programs out of range of all but the biggest schools.

We offer paid internships in IT, office administration, bookkeeping, and hospitality. We set clear requirements for students entering this program - providing clarity for your agents, and predictability for you. For more information on this, please visit our Paid Internship page.

Thorough student monitoring

We conduct student monitoring for two purposes: quality control and marketing. We view successful and happy interns as our best sales asset. In order to keep them happy, we pay attention to them. This means check ins after their first week at their internship, and monthly check-ins thereafter. Students complete online reports at each check-in, alerting us to any issues, and measuring their progress against the goals laid out in their Internship Plan (another thing we do).

Midway through their internship, we visit them at work. We take a tour of their workplace, and bring cameras along for the trip. Our goal at the midterm interview is first and foremost - quality control. But second to that is marketing, this is the point at which we collect marketing assets for your use - things such as video testimonials, pictures, and multi-lingual write-ups.

Support for schools

If you had so summarize in a word, what we provide for schools, that word is ‘clarity’.  We have done our best to make everything as clear as possible for you. This includes a comprehensive list of internship descriptions, clear language and experience standard for program admission, published Standard Operating Practices for each program, and up-to-date student information. Much of this is available to you online.

But we also provide real-world support, including help with visas, agency questions, bids, and student seminars.

On-Time Guarantee

We don't just promise to place students on time - we back it up. We guarantee that your student will start their internship on their agreed upon start date. If they don't - we give money back. If your student is 1 week late, we refund 25% of their net placement fees. 2 weeks late, we refund 50% of their net placements fees. More than 2 weeks late, we do the placement for free.
